What is a Project Model?
In the SansGUI Run-Time Environment, a simulation user works mostly on Project Models. A Project Model is a file created by a simulation user in a project for a particular simulator. It is a binary file that contains the following elements:
Classes defined by the simulation developer,
Component objects with data for creating parts and links,
Reference objects with data referred to by other objects, parts or links,
Unit objects extensible by the user for unit conversion,
A model configuration with parts and links in an assembly hierarchy or just at the top assembly level,
Specifications for simulation result logging,
Parameters for controlling simulation runs in a simulation control object, and
Case parameters for multiple case runs.
If you need to know how the Project Model file type relates with the other two file types, Object Library and Schema Definition, please read the Introduction to SansGUI section in the Getting Started guide.
The following sections describe primary user operations that are performed in the process of completing a Project Model before submitting it to the simulator.
