In addition to the requirements listed above, you need a compiler that can generate simulator codes:
To create loosely-coupled external process simulator executables, you need a compiler of any language that can generate Win32 console applications.
To create tightly-coupled in-process simulator DLLs, you need Microsoft Visual C++ 6.0, Compaq Visual Fortran 6.1, or their later versions. Other versions or other compilers that can create Win32 DLLs may work, but they are not currently supported.
As a minimum configuration test, we have successfully installed and run SansGUI on a 486DX/33 running the original version of Windows 95 and with only 8 MB of physical memory. However, it is not recommended that you do any serious work with less than the required system configurations. Please note that the memory requirements stated above also depend upon the size of your models, the installed simulator code and the number of simultaneously opened projects on the machine in question.
