In addition to creating new attributes in a class, described in the previous section Adding Attributes to Classes, there are other useful class information and operations available in the Attribute Grid View.
The header of the Attribute Grid View contains the following information about the class:
Identification: The class name is displayed as the header of the second column. The version of the class schema is displayed underneath.
Status: The little square icon in the upper left corner cell indicates the status of the class. It is normally in green and turns yellow when the class schema has been modified. After an Object Library is generated, the yellow icon will be reset to green.
Only attributes that are local to the class, not inherited from the ancestor classes, can be deleted. To delete an attribute, perform the following:
Locate the row where the attribute resides.
Right click on the Sequence Number, Code or Attribute field of the attribute to obtain a context menu.
Select Delete Attribute to delete the attribute permanently.
The sequence of the attributes is important because you will use a set of matching indices to access data object values in the simulator program. When you add a new attribute, it is always appended to the end of the attribute list. You can then move it to the desired position.
Click on the Sequence Number (in the header column) of the attribute. The whole row will be highlighted with inverse video.
Drag the attribute row up or down to the target location. During dragging, The mouse pointer is changed to a drag cursor and a thin red line is displayed as a visual cue for the target position.
You can only arrange locally defined attributes. If you need to change the sequence of the attributes defined in an ancestor class, you need to go to that class to rearrange it.
The Attribute Grid View can be enlarged or reduced in size to suit your display needs. Available controls are:
1 : 1: Reset the view to 100% zooming.
+: Enlarge the current Attribute Grid View by a 5% increment.
-: Reduce the current Attribute Grid View by a 5% increment.
Zoom Factor Box: You can select a zoom factor from the drop-down list, or enter a zoom factor manually. The minimum zoom factor is 20% and the maximum is 1000%. Entering the percentage mark % is optional.
