Developing In-Process Simulators
From the previous chapters, you learned how to set up a Schema Definition to generate an Object Library or a number of Object Libraries for all simulator options. This allows the SansGUI Run-Time Environment to create a graphical interface for the users. Those procedures take care of the specification of the simulator. However, the implementation of the simulator involves programming, which produces actual code for the simulator's underlying logic and mathematics.
The simulator can be implemented as an in-process simulator that is tightly coupled with the SansGUI Run-Time Environment, or as an external executable program that is invoked through a command script file. In this chapter, we explain the necessary procedures for implementing an in-process simulator. If you are implementing an external process simulator, please skip ahead to the next chapter on Developing External Process Simulators. If you still are not quite familiar with the simulator development process, please consult the Developing Simulators with SansGUI section in Chapter 1 of this manual and refer to the SansGUI Simulation Control section of the SansGUI Reference Manual.
